God’s Beloved & Members of St. John,
It’s hard to believe that August is upon us! A month that is usually very busy: fitting in end of summer vacations, getting ready for school, and getting ready for fall, all the things we add into our already busy lives.
And so, in the midst of all that you have going on, I leave you with the reminder to not be anxious. To take some time for yourself, to breathe deeply, and to acknowledge the presence of God in your midst.
As the writer of Philippians (4:6–7) shares
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
