Grace and peace to you all and blessings on the start of summer! This summer we will have one Newsletter that will go out in June, the next Newsletter will go out in September.
Summer is a beautiful time to connect with our creator God and with one another. Those who spend the winters down south are here to join us in person for Worship and for Fellowship. Vacation Bible School (VBS) will blast off on Sunday, June 22 as we head true north! I look forward to that special and fun-filled week. Thank you to all the volunteers and all who have signed up to donate food for the kiddos.
I hope this summer will bring you plenty of whatever it is you need, and that this summer will usher in an abundance of what your spirit is craving. May the light of the sun remind you of the light of God’s son, the light of our life, the light of the world.
As we read in Psalm 36
How precious is your steadfast love, O God! All people may take refuge in the shadow of your wings. They feast on the abundance of your house, and you give them drink from the river of your delights. For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light.”
This summer, when you need times of rest, may you find comfort in the shadow of God’s wings. When you are thirsty, may you be filled with nourishment and delight from the river of God. And may you always see one another’s light in God’s light.
May this summer be a time of growth, and a time of togetherness within our St. John’s community. Thank you for being the light of Christ in our world.
